Not about shopping

This movie is so moving as we get a chance to look at what life for an average Jewish family was at the time culturally and practically. Of course their lives did not work out to be just ordinary. I am in awe as I stop from the bustle of Christmas shopping to look at this clip and ponder the reality of what God did for us. It is not about mary or Joseph anymore than it is about us...it is about God and how He brought about His redemptive plan.It is so moving to see that God first appeared to lowly shepherds just like He speaks to us today...His chosen people don't all look like the wise men or Kings from the east just ordinary lowly people that He has chosen to live in and open our eyes to His goodness. Lets not let the shopping distract us from the important part of this season and that is to come as a lowly shepherd and worship as the wise man said "the greatest of kings"...King Jesus.

LOTS OF NEW POST BELOW!!!

CALEB IS COMING HOME AGAIN!

We are feeling so privileged to get another opportunity to see Caleb again in person! We had such a great time with him over Thanksgiving and we were unsure if we would get to see him at Christmas due to the Airforce football team, the "Falcons", practice schedule as they are Bowl bound! He is coming home tomorrow at 9pm!!! What a thrill to see him play in the "Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl" on New years Eve at 12 noon!!! The best part is that Robert will get the great opportunity to go see him play. The kids understand our financial situation and that there is limited Christmas money this year like never before but they each told him that they thought that he "HAD" to go see Caleb play. The suggestion was insisted upon by Calvin. I am so proud of them for being so selfless and thinking of Caleb in this way. They love him and idolize him so much. Robert is very excited and looking forward to his trip to Fort Worth Texas in just 2 weeks. I will include some pictures o4 caleb that we have to pick a portrait from. They are so good! Well make sure to tune in NEW YEARS EVE at 12 NOON!!! ESPN

OUR HEARTS WERE BURSTING!

Grace had the great opportunity to dance this past Sunday at a large church here in a neighboring town. She had a great time dancing a solo to Micheal W smiths "The Promise" and her teacher choreographed a stunning ballet for the song. It was a rare chance to dance with a large live orchestra and live choir. We have never had the chance to watch her do a solo performance before and we were blown away! She certainly lives up to her name. We were sitting there with tears rolling down our cheeks with love and amazement and at the same time it was so evident to us that she was focused on glorifying God with every movement. Thank God for such moments.

This is the song she danced to

We are going to buy a dvd of her dancing as soon as it is released. Here is a picture of her in the dress she danced in and some of her fellow dance friends.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK ALOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

What a beautiful sight! I am still amazed at snow! It is so magical to see these beautiful little pieces of Gods art work floating all over as it comes down and combined makes a beautiful blanket that makes the world look clean and peaceful. I have included some pic. Grace is becoming quite teh photographer and she certainly is doing a better job than I at keeping a record of our lives here in beautiful Kentucky.
